Texas A&M University | College Station, TX

Easterwood Airport is owned by the Texas A&M University System. It is located three miles from Texas A&M’s Kyle Field. The airport opened in 1940, named for U.S. Navy Lieutenant Jesse L. Easterwood. Private transportation is available from the airport to campus. It’s longest paved runway measures 7,000 ft.
University of Texas | Austin, Texas

Owned and operated by the City of Austin, Austin-Bergstrom International Airport is the second-fastest growing, mid-sized airport in the United States. It is located thirteen miles from UT’s Darrell K Royal–Texas Memorial Stadium. Austin-Bergstrom International Airport was opened to general aviation passengers in 1999. Before this time, the airport was known as Bergstrom Air Force Base, which was created in 1942 to help with efforts in World War II. Its longest paved runway measures 12,250 ft.

TSTC is the largest airport operated by an educational institution in the United States. It is located just eight miles from Baylor’s McLane Stadium. It is a public use airport with it longest paved runway measuring 8,600 ft. Before 1968, it was known as James Connally Air Force Base. The airport is owned by Texas State Technical College.

The Baton Rouge Metropolitan Airport is an agency of the City-Parish Government. It is located just 10 miles from LSU’s Tiger Stadium. It is a public use airport with it longest paved runway measuring 7,500 ft. The airport was originally Harding Field during World War II and was used by the United States Army Air Forces Technical Service Command as a maintenance and supply base.

Lubbock Preston Smith International is owned by the City of Lubbock. It is located thirteen miles from Texas Tech’s Jones AT&T Stadium. Lubbock International Airport began as the Lubbock Municipal Airfield in 1929. The United States Government’s War Department took over the airport in 1942 and created the South Plains Army Airfield. After World War II, the airport was again operated by the City of Lubbock. Commercial airline service began on July 1, 1945.
